1. Program Overview

The Future Aircraft Summer School is organized by the COMAC–Beihang Commercial Aircraft Innovation Center at the Hangzhou International Innovation Institute of Beihang University. The program will take place from July 13 to July 26, 2025, in Hangzhou, China.

This summer school provides an opportunity for participants to explore advanced concepts in aircraft design while experiencing the cultural heritage and natural beauty of China. Participants will also have the chance to interact with leading experts in aerospace engineering.

The program consists of two main components.

Week 1 (July 13–19) focuses on academic learning and hands-on experience. Lectures and practical sessions will be delivered by distinguished scholars and experts. During this week, participants will engage in theoretical learning, laboratory practice, and experiential activities related to future aircraft technologies. Activities include the design, construction, and test flight of small aircraft, guided visits to the Aerospace Museum to explore the history and evolution of flight, and seminars with laboratory sessions in key aerospace-related disciplines such as fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, manufacturing technology, control theory, heat transfer, and combustion science.

Week 2 (July 20–26) emphasizes industry exposure and cultural exchange. Participants will visit relevant industries and engage in activities that combine technological exploration with cultural immersion. The program will conclude on July 26, followed by participant departures.

5. 招收学生资格 Eligibility

This summer school is open to current students and recent graduates from universities outside China who hold a non-Chinese passport. Applicants must have sufficient proficiency in English to participate in lectures, discussions, and laboratory activities.
